I'm taking a Lettering class with Benoit Furet and thought I'd use what I was learning... also I'm mathematically inclined so this spoke to me.

On "Tan" parchment scrapbook cardstock  I drew out my letters, outlined with a .08 Micron pen and painted with various watercolors.

An example of its usage:
“It doth represent the square of squares quite squarely.”

"Y" Deco Roses:
On Bee Super Deluxe paper drew the deco roses with a .08 Micron pen. Drew in my letter "Y" in Letterista style and painted the roses around the letter. Filled in some negtive spaces within the letter with the micron pen.

"Y" Pink Floral:
On Bee Super Deluxe paper painted the flowers with a medium sized triangle brush double loaded with Holbien "Opera Pink"  and W&N "Quinacridone Magenta". When dry drew in my "Y" in Letterista style outlining with Bleed Proof white.

"Y" Doodled:
On Arches Text Wove paper drew the letter with a .08 Micron pen. Painted with various w/c adding Gansai Tambi "Red Gold" details.

On Bee Super Deluxe paper  drew the holly using a .08 Micron, then drew the lettering with the micron pen and then outlined with a white gel pen and then again outlined with the micron then painted with watercolors.

I had a lot of problems with this challenge. I w/c my design and then tried to add the lettering, but it wouldn't transfer properly and my pens would not write properly... so the image above was easier to accomplish on just a line art image...

What I did on this card was what I was trying to do for the challenge but with the more white in the background it worked better...

Painted the leaves with watercolors on Bee Super Deluxe paper, then misted with water and dried. Drew in and outlined my letters with the .08 Micron, then with the white gel pen and then again with the micron. Adhered to a red card base.

Size: 9"w x 6.5"h

On Bee Super Deluxe paper painted my Rocky Mountain scene. Outlined with a Zig Writer and wrote the text with a 3.0 Parallel pen and Sumi ink, shadowing with a red Zig Writer.
