Easy Apparently there's a website that creates an exercise for you... LetteringMaker.com Using the criteria I decided on a ribbon format for the Logotype. Used a 3.0 Parallel pen and Sumi ink. Then drew my ribbon around it and colored with Prisma colored pencils - the 70's using bright green, turquoise, sunshine yellow, orange and brown.

Your Guess I was in mood to do a circle piece and I thought to use Uncial instead of my normal Blackletter style... I'm also using a technique I came across through Annette Wichmann from Kensington Art Supply, by @DanaPiazza who double loads his color by dropping ink into the small hole in the nib area... On Arches 90# HP w/c paper drew my circles with a Helix Circle Ruler. Used a 2.4 and 3.8 Parallel pen. Outer layer with deAtrmantis ink "Cyan blue" dropping in Rapidograph "White" waterproof ink. Filled in the negative spaces with a red Tombow marker. Inside layer with Pilot Red and the Rapidograph white ink. Outlined with a blue Tombow marker. Middle layer with the blue Tombow marker and lettered with a .05 Micron pen. |
