I saw a booklet on Facebook by Annette Wichman and one by Shelly Wright. Loved the look of them so decided to mimic what they did... I'm happy with the results. BIG GRIN

Scored and folded my black cardstock, splicing where needed to create the accordion booklet.

Wrote the "Merry/Bright" using a Mitchell 1/2" nib and FW Acrylic Ink "White" in an uncial style. This was after a bunch of unsatisfactory testing with Gouache which was too chalky and smeared... and my normal Copic white mixture. Even the FW I'm not that happy with, not smooth enough. C'est la vie.

Added the ampersand with a gold Uniball Signo pen. Die cut with a Spellbinder circle die. Die cut a larger circle and colored with Krylon gold leafing pen, then adhered my calligraphic circle, then adhered to front.

All the letters are exaggerated within the square and outlined with a black Zig Writer using the bullet tip. Doodling either on the one side or both sides with the fine tip of the Zig Writer, or the Signo gold pen and or a white gel pen.

Negative space colored with Prisma colored pencils going from darkest to almost nothing. (In real life, the blending is less pronounced then in the images - sigh)

The quote written with a Nikko G nib and Sumi ink in a script style lettering.

Words: I heard the bells on Christmas day. Their old familiar carols play, and wild and sweet the words repeat of peace on earth, good will to men.
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
