Created this piece for an upcoming show being held by our Guild (1st week in May 2014). Keeping my fingers crossed...

 

 
I used Arches 90lb HP watercolor paper.

Cut a piece of thin Balsa wood with an x-acto knife to use as my nib..., dipped into Sumi ink sprinkled with some Schminck gold powder.

I've been playing with this lettering style which has a lot of pen twisting... still practicing Big Grin.

For the text block I used a 1.5mm Parallel Pen filled with Sumi Ink and H2º

When everything was dry, I added my diamonds in the large letters with a larger Parallel pen and the black ink, then made a stencil a bit smaller than the diamond and filled it with Versamark, then embossed with Red Foil embossing powder. As a final touch added the red line shadow using a Prisma Colored pencil.
