Gems are Precious

Our guild has a galleria theme of strange paper (or anything except white paper...). I love the Bee Paper Bogus Recycled Rough Sketch paper which is this brownish color and was in a mood of creating gems... 

I created the gems first with a layer of white pencil and then the various Prisma colored pencils to color and shade. Doodling with black fine tipped marker.

The text was done with a 6.0mm Parallel pen and my funky lettering. Mixed up a batch of Schminke Rich Pale Gold with Gum Arabic and distilled water. Dipped my Parallel pen that was filled with Sumi ink into Ecoline inks and then into the gold mix - double dipping... Changing colors from one letter to the next (Carmine, Turquoise, Deep Yellow)
