BVCG - Dec 2019 Lettering Challenge - Week 3

Created: December 6, 2019

I usually love challenges and this one is right up my alley.

ID: "Occasion"
Size: 6.5"w x 3"h

I remember the first time I came across one of these multi colored pencils by Koh-i-Noor... I was so intrigued.  Wrote out the word rotating the pencil as I was writing on 110# Staples cardstock.

ID: "Peace"
Size: 7.5"w x 5"h

More ink I haven't used in eons... Wrote each Uncial style letter, dipping my flat edge brush in a different color of Winsor and Newton ink for each letter on 110# Staples cardstock. Sadow outlined the letters with the Kuretake pen. Highlighted each letter with my Niko G pointed pen nib and the FW white acrylic ink.

ID: "Quince Pie"
Size: 5"w x 4"h

Used the bullet tip of the black Zig Writer for my monoline letters on 110# Staples cardstock. Inked the letters one at a time with the Versamark embossing pen. Thermal embossed with Emerald Creek Quietfire Design "Modern Gilding Powders". They work beautifully. "Copper Scroll", "Acanthus Teal",  Kells' Gold", "Dragon Berry", "Burnished Silver", "Gothic Black".

ID: "Ribbons"
Size: 7"w x 4"h

Inked my letters with my parallel pen on black Recollections cardstock and then applied the glue to a letter, sprinkling with the Elizabeth Craft Designs or Glitter Ritz micro fine glitter.

ID: "Sugar Plums"
Size: 6"w x 4.5"h

Came across these funky monoline letters as seen on LarksCrafts.com. Another bunch of calligraphy pens I haven't used... Wrote each letter with a different color on 110# Staples cardstock.

ID: "Twinkling"
Size: 7"w x 4.5"h

I wrote the word "Twinkle" using the We R Memories battery operated foil heating tool. Not as good a tool as my Staedtler battery operated Hot Foil Pen which I've had for more than 10 years. But since I broke the tip on it, I had no choice but to buy another foil pen... Sigh. Then I read the word list and realized I was supposed to write "Twinkling". Sheesh. So wrote it with a gold gel pen. Added some hot foil stars, and sponged the background with Distress blues. Added the words  "Little Star with a black Kuretake fine tip pen.

ID: "Unify"
Size: 5"w x 3"h

I love Graffiti style lettering, all the shadows and highlights they add. Used the Koi watercolor markers (another set of pens I never use...) on 110# Staples cardstock. I used 3 values of colors for each letter. Added the shadows with a Zig Writer.
