I love the outline teapot stamp from GG Design and thought Suzanne's (Quietfire Design) new Flourish stamps would look great as the design element on the teapot. I absolutely love it. This is also one of my favorite quotes.

I stamped the tea pot and cup on some 90 lb Canson watercolor paper using black stamp pad and Detail Black Embossing powder. I also stamped a scrap piece of cardstock with the same images and cut away the body section of the pot and cup area making a mask for my other stamping. I rubber stamped the Flourish stamp with the same black as above. Then used Tombow watercolor markers (991, 665 & 723) and moved the colors around with my waterbrush. Added gold leaf on the handles and foot section As well as on the cup & saucer rims. Cut out the images and glued them to a nice beige toned Bazill Monochromatic cardstock, then onto a chocolate brown Bazill then onto my main cardstock which is white Canson Mi-Tientes.

Added the quote with a small quill type pen using my new Talens Ecoline liquid watercolors #545 & 548 (Quietfire Design).

Quote: Come share a pot of tea with me my house is warm, my friendship's free.

Tea_FrontBooklet         Tea_Back

Booklet in front section                                         Back

I added a sewn in booklet on the front section adding info on the main cardstock and on the underside of the flap cover (had lots of info and needed all the space I could find...). I also created a drop down accordion folded booklet on the back, which is held in place by the bottom and top white strips. Pull out the bottom section first then grab the back page of the booklet and everything drops down. The booklet is only attached at the top edge. Lots of interesting facts about Tea, it opened my eyes to some new things too.
