ID: Popcorn Poppin' Month
Mailing Due Date: Oct 10th, 2007 I started out with cream colored cardstock, with a fold edge on the right to create a full sized pocket for my insert. I used colored pencils for the whole front page. The words Pop Corn was done on a separate piece of cardstock and glued to the box. I cut a slit on the bottom edge of the box to slide the tickets to make them appear they're under the box. They pull out and have ideas for coating popcorn. I used my computer and printer to create the lettering for the front of the ticket on a canary yellow cardstock, then punched it out with my Tall Ticket punch (Quietfire Design). I LOVE that punch. |
The back of each ticket has some suggestions for coating the popped popcorn

The back is a scrapbook paper of beautiful ears of corn. I don't think their poppin' corn, but I loved the image anyway. I bought the paper only because I liked the look of it, never thinking I would actually use it. The insert (pic at right) has "corny facts" on one side and the History stuff on the other side.
