It took me a while to finally come up with something this time round.  Woke up in the middle of the night and it just flowed. My muse returned...

I used a piece of Maroon Canson Mi-Tientes cardstock, folded over at the right edge. Rubber stamped the Narcissus onto Arches 90lb HP watercolor paper using Brilliance Dew Drops Moonlight White and embossing it with Detail White. Used Tombow markers to color in the the yellowish parts of the flowers and leaves, and iridescent medium for the white petals - just to give that little pizzazz.... cut out the images including the negative spaces and glued them to my maroon cardstock then cut out the upper outline.

Detail pic of Flower and punched out letters.

On the back, I used more of the cardstock to create a pocket and for the tags. Both sides have info on them like etymology, origin, popular culture etc etc. I encased the edges of the pocket with some painted linen hinging tape. Added some ribbons to each tag.

I wrote the poem out on some Calligraphy paper using a Leonard #706 nib (don't like the nib). But since I started with it, I had to finish with it and used Moon Palace Sumi ink. So I'm continuing to practice my script. What better way than in our mingles. I found the poem on the net, by Lucy Maud Montgomery "Fancies" (If you can't read it, goggle it). Accordian folded it and attached it to my cardstock with maroon colored eyelets. Punched a hole on either side through each folded section and ran a white 4ply linen thread through it. Attached a couple decorative glass beads to the ends. Used some left over paper from my tissue paper collaging and punched out the letters "Fancies" with my Sizzlets alphabet set.
