The mystery stamp for April/07 was a sheet of Sand Rose images & text sheet #76, by Evolving Images. 

I enjoyed working on canvas in a recent class I took with Lisa Engelbrecht, so I decided to start making pages for a book I will eventually bind. I stamped the image using Versa magic dew drops "Jumbo Java" onto 10 oz unprimed canvas. Colored in the blank spaces with various colors of Sakura Stardust Gel pens and blended them with my water mix of 30/70 iridescent medium and water. I then used Cedar Canyon Rubbing plate "Leaves" (available through Quietfire Design) and Caran D'Arche Neocolor wax pastels "Phtalocyanine Green" & went over some of the areas again with "Bronze", staying away from the sand rose image. I wrote the word "Sand Rose" using a lot of different colors of Gouache with Neuberg-E-Ebel Metal Leaf powder "Fine Gold #30" (same as Schmincke Gold), needs to float on top of the color, and a Pentel Parallel pen 6.0. When dry shadow outlined it with a black micron pen. The text is another portion of the #76 stamp sheet done with the Jumbo java on pale yellow mulberry paper and attached tot he canvas with Golden's matte Medium.
