(Gate Folded Card)

I used a dark brown (java) Bazill monochromatic cardstock. Folded it so the opening meets at the center. Rubber stamped my quote (Quietfire Design "Art is Letting") on white cardstock several times on a diagonal line using a couple combination colors of Color Box Chalk Stamp pads for each stamping (Rouge, Warm Violet, Blue Lagoon). Cut out my shape from the stamped background and from a piece of Bazill (watermelon) using a Coluzzle Puzzle Heart template. Edged the reddish piece with a  Krylon Gold Leafing pen. Glued it to my front gates. Rubber stamped the words "Happy Birthday" (Katie & Co.) using Brilliance dew Drops Moonlight White and Artful Stamper White Gold embossing powder. Heat set.

I used my baby finger to write the words "I Love (heart) U" on Arches text wove paper, using water soluble Portfolio Oil Pastels, coloring my finger (red, pink & violet) and misting with a touch of water. When dry I outlined it with a purple Souffle pen. Edged my paper  with a Krylon Gold Leafing pen, then glued it to my card. Added the border from a negative cut out from the next card (altered the colors a bit to get a more reddish brown coloring). Rubber stamped my quote again on the inside at various angles. Upper left and lower right are done with a Castaway stamp pad and heated until the bleached effect appeared. The lower left is done with Brilliance Dew Drops Moonlight White and clear embossed. The upper right is again the Brilliance but with a baby pink embossing powder.
