I started out with a large piece of Arches 140 lb CP watercolor paper. Smeared and layered Utrecht white gesso, Daniel Smith's Gold gesso, Bob Ross's black gesso &, Golden's medium Gold Mica. Let that dry overnight, then put washes of watercolors in pinks, purples and blues. Let that dry then did all my writing with 3 dimensional fabric paint. Black outlined in gold for the #6. Just black for the "th". Pink shadow outlined with black and decorated with bronze glitter for the letters of the word "Happy". When that was all dry I cut it up into 6 postcard size pieces. Mounted them onto heavy black cardstock. On the backs I glued a piece of white paper with the postcard layout and rubber stamped a word, using various alphabet sets, on each postcard "Friendship"  "is a" "wondrous"  "thing"  "Happy Anniversary". I mailed them on consecutive days. Hopefully they landed on the right days...
