ID: Winter Solstice "Dong Zhi"

I used a white cardstock folded gate style to the back and glued down in the binding 1/2". I printed  out a copy of one of my winter photographs of these frost laden trees onto white mulberry paper and glued it to the cardstock. I rubber stamped the Asian symbol for winter (Prairie Rubber Stamps). Wrote the word "Solstice" under the stamped image with a blue Sakura shadow gel pen. Wrote the words "Dong Zhi"  using my thermal embossing technique in white & dots of blue.

Back

On the back I used a slit slot closure with the Ying Yan symbol to hold the covers closed. The symbol was embossed with white and blued embossing powder and I added a couple of rhinestones. I painted the left side of the cardstock with blue paint.

Inside is the story of the winter solstice.
