Mailing Due Date: Jan 12th, 2007

I used Bazill cardstock (Aloe Vera) and folded it over to the back holding it closed with a green flower brad and a piece of taupe linen thread. Note: most of the products used for this mingle can be found at Quietfire Design's website. I wrote the quote with gouache and Sakura Souffle pens. The word "Blind" was done with a small flat shader brush and white gouache, when dry went over it with green gouache. The rest of the quote was done first with the green souffle pen, making sure I got nice juicy lines, when dry used the black souffle over them but trying to get thinner lines so there was a light green shadow. (see detailed image below)

For the vellum overleaf I used a greenish tinged vellum, wrote the quote using a stylus to impress my dots on the back so they would be raised dots on the front. I attached it with a couple pieces of linen binding tape that I painted with my Pentel color brushes in shades of yellow and green, then gave it a coat of Dorland's wax, love that stuff, then slipped it through some slits I made to attach to the back. Added a border of copper tape.

On the back I added a photograph of Louis Braille and my particulars. Under the flap is the story of Braille as well as the Braille alphabet.
