It seems quite a few people shy away from using these very small eyelets finding it difficult to install. I love them. I use my eyelet punch (Quietfire Design) and give one gentle hit with the hammer, then shape the rest of the eyelet with the hammer to flatten it out and keep it from splitting and looking unsightly.

Oct 30, 2007 - Eyelets

I used black value pack cardstock cut to 4.5"w x 4"h. I used a 1/16" hole punch and punched my holes 1/2 apart and 1/2" away from the edge to create my border grid pattern. I used 24 silver 1/16" eyelets (Quietfire Design) (see detail pics of eyelets both front and back view). I randomly wove some Mylar type filament thread (red, green, blue). I used the silver to do diagonal lines over the other patterns. I then added one diagonal line of crystal beads. Rubber stamped the quote "I am the Connections" (Quietfire Design) on a piece of gold pearlized vellum using black Staz-On stamp pad. Inserted the quote under my woven lines. Wrote in my words "Paths converge, patterns emerge" using a Nikko G nib and Bleed Proof white ink.
