"Gilded Thank You card "5"w x 7"h
I took a gilding class with Georgia Angelopoulos in Oct/08 and as Imentioned you'll be seeing a lot of gilding in the near future. Well here's the first one...

I also recently got the newest batch of Quietfrie Design rubber. Love all of them. This card uses one of a set of four "thank you" stamps.

I started with Arches 90# HP watercolor Paper and mixed up a very very concentrated small dish of walnut ink, a touch of left over Gum Arabic, a touch of water and painted onto my surface. I then mixed some LuminArte Polished Pigments into the walnut ink mixture (Solar Gold), did several strokes of that and then put some Copper into the mix and did several strokes of that. Let it partially dry (no idea why I did that) and then spritzed water all over tilting and merging the colors. This was done on a piece of paper about 7" x 11". I then cut out my section for this card which is about 4 x 5.5".

I rubber stamped the "Thank You" using black Staz On and then used Jerry Tresser's pink Gold Size for my vertical rectangle and composition gold, gold leaf. I rounded the corners on all the papers and that rectangle. It softened it and mimicked the rounded edges on the lettering. I then dry embossed the design using both a pointed stylus and a very small headed stylus. Mounted this to black Full Spectrum cardstock then onto a Canson Mi-Tientes "Bisque" cardstock.
