Oct 14, 2008 - Thank You

"Heart card "5"w x 7"h
I recently got the newest batch of Quietfrie Design rubber. Love all of them. This card uses one of a set of four "thank you" stamps.

I used glossy cardstock and rubber stamped the "thank you" repeatedly, so that each time the tip of the "y" would land in the center to create a pinwheel type effect. I used Ranger's Resist stamp pad, then using a sponge, applied various Distress dye inks all over the page. Then lightly misted a melt art mat and lay my gloss paper face down on the moisture, lifted it off and let dry. I over stamped each word with a Versafine Smokey Grey stamp pad. I then rubber stamped the word again with Versafine, but slightly over the original stamping, almost like a shadow with a mix of the Sepia & Black, then did a single stroke in each letter using Sakura Gold Metallic gel pen. I Attached a heart (also available at Quietfire Design) using very thin beading wire. Cut my larger paper (which was about 6 x 6.5") down to a size for my card (4 x 6") and mounted it to a bright yellow Bazzill  Monochromatic cardstock which I used a heart corner punch, then onto a regular green cardstock and then onto my main card which is a kind of burgundy color. All the colors match the dye inks I used.
