Size: 2.5"w x 3.5"h each ATC This week's challenge was to use an Envelope, be it as a real envelope or a rubber stamp or... It's soooo rare that I use decorative paper that hasn't been made by me. It's one of the hardest things for me to do. But I sure went and used a lot of them for this Asian theme. All these ATC's start out with a white piece of cardstock that I covered with different Asian decorative rice paper. The paper also wraps around the card so the back is pretty too. I then rubber stamped or traced and colored in Asian words. On some I used pigment ink and embossing powder. I cut out a small envelope (finished size 1.5" x 1.5"), decorated it with Pan Pastels and then rubber stamped the Asian coin using Kaleidacolor red dye ink. Wrote in my word "Fortune" with a quill nib and Moon Palace Sumi Ink. Added an insert that is the fortune done on the same paper as the envelope (cream toned single folio end paper from Columbia Mills), used a small punch to round the corners and wrote in the fortune with the quill nib and sumi ink. Added a brad (dragonfly, gold flower, gold leaf or jeweled rhinestone brad) to finish each ATC.. |
