Created: Dec 30/08 I love using the Ranger's Resist stamp pad and chalk pastels. I also love Suzanne's (Quietfire Design) butterfly/dragonfly rubber stamp set that came out in 2008. So I used both sizes of butterflies and the resist stamp pad. Then colored them with Pebbles Pearlescent chalks and their little cotton balls. Used the word stamps "Butterfly & Papillon" from the same sheet with a gold stamp pad and Queen's gold embossing powder. I cut out a window for the quote stamp "Anais Nin" also by Quietfire and rubber stamped that with Versafine Black Onyx onto a medium dark toned purple cardstock which I then adhered to the back of the butterfly piece. I cut some 1/4" Sookwang double sided tape (yes I just ordered the 1/8"...) and laid it over the window edges, then sprinkled some Amethyst and then some Queen's gold embossing powders, so it gave it a slightly mottled look. Mounted all this to a deep lavender toned Bazzill monochromatic cardstock, then onto my regular lavender cardstock which you can't see. Added some purple metallic thread and the purple butterfly charm. |
Pan Pastels for background, rubber stamped butterflies and gold embossed. Lettering done with Prismacolor ArtStix and a gel pen. |
