I like the concept of these window tabs. Has a lot of potential.

I started with a piece of white cardstock and did one of the techniques I recently learnt at a Lisa Strahl demo at my rubber stamp store Paper Pastimes. It was a fabulous 2 day event and chock full of ideas.

I rubber stamped the flourishes (Quietfire Design Crows set) with a well inked Distress pad "Fired Brick" and rubbed the image while wet with a sponging tool. When all the images were applied and rubbed, I then used the sponging tool with more distress and rubbed all over the card. Dropped water droplets all over and then laid a piece of tissue paper over the card to pick up the moisture, but it also picked up some of the water soluble distress ink leaving a tinted ghost image. Dried it with my heat gun. I then rubber stamped the flourish crow with Brilliance Dew Drops black ink and embossed with detail black embossing powder. Cut out my diamond squares, marked them in which direction they went and rubber stamped them with words using Versafine Onyx. Set them aside till later.

I drew the squares onto a piece of black cardstock and cut around it leaving about a 1/4" border and glued it to the inside of my card. Cut my diagonal lines, scored my lines and turned them to the outside, holding them in place with antique colored snap brads. Added one of my calligraphic Peel Offs Happy Birthday under the label of Elizabeth Craft Design.

Used Pan Pastels to color the inside of the card using Permanent Red and wiping with a  tissue, then spraying with workable fixative. On the left side you can see the back of my tab squares, the white is the cover of my scanner. On the right side I cut out a duplicate of the black cardstock and adhered my cut out pieces that I had put aside before. Rubber stamped the flourish crow again but with Versafine Onyx. The words Love & Crow are from Quietfire Design. The word Live is from Serendipity Stamps.
