This weeks theme is Stencils.

I was in a mood to make 2 cards for this week's challenge, mainly because I love this stencil by Lynell Harlow #LJ896. Again I put it through my embossing machine on white cardstock. I then sponged Distress Pumice Stone through the stencil on the raised embossing and clear embossed it.

I used the stencil as a mask to sponge the outside edge with more Pumice Stone, removed the stencil and sponged Spun Sugar on the outside and inside of the design. Trimmed it down, rounded the corners and layered it to my dark brown card.

I stamped the sentiment  (Quietfire Design.) with Versafine Black.

The butterfly is a Spellbinders die set which my friend kindly leant me ages ago and never had the heart to use the butterfly I made. I think I need to get that die now. I double layered it which is hard to see in the pic. Added floral stamen for the antennae.
