February 22/11  "Blues - Daisies"

This weeks theme is the Shades of Blue.

Love these daisy like flowers from Flourishes. It comes in a large size and a small size in the set. This is the large size with lots of space for coloring, which I did with Prisma colors.

The quote is from Quietfire Design.

I stamped the flowers with Versafine Black Onyx on white cardstock, cut around some of the flowers to die cut the scallop design (Nellie's Choice "Rectangle 3" MFD014) without cutting my flowers off. Sponged some Distress Blue Jeans around the edges. Used the plain rectangle from the set to die cut the speckled blue scrapbook paper, then cut the dark blue cardstock. Tied a bow from the white polka dotted blue ribbon and adhered it to the flower stems

Punched out the border (Martha Stewart "Swirling Lace" #42-60051) from some yellow toned daisy scrap book paper and adhered it to the left side of my card on dark blue cardstock.

Stamped the quote with Brilliance white and embossed with detail white embossing powder.

All of this was adhered to my main white card.
