October 12/10  "Indigenous Peoples Day"

"Indigenous - Ship's Journey"  card
Size: 4.25"w x 5.5"h

This week it's all about "your tribe" and "Indigenous People's Day". Ok so I had to look the word up to understand what direction I should go in. And since it discussed Columbus day and the ship's voyage, I figured I'd do something with a ship.  The Flourishes "A Guiding Light" set seemed to be perfect and that paired up with a Quietfire Design quote - a match made in heaven or on the high seas...
 

I die cut the smaller circle, dry embossed and sponged Distress Broken China in the sky area. Colored the rest with Prisma colors. Die cut a larger circle and sponged Faded jeans.

Sponged Scattered Straw on white cardstock, adhered my circles, stamped the rope element (same set) with Versafine Vintage Sepia, and the quote with the Sepia and touching with a bit of Black Onyx.

Layered this to a deep blue card.
