Well the theme was either Victoria Day or Red White & Blue, and you can gather what I chose...

Just got this rubber stamp of the poppy (Auntie Amy's 912JJ) and really wanted to stamp with it. So I stamped it on some 110# white cardstock with Versafine Black Onyx, and clear embossed it. Colored it with Tombows and a waterbrush, then cut it out.

Die cut the center part and the small opening in the center of it with a Spellbinder's Fleur de Lis Pendants die (as close as I came to being national), from white cardstock, embossed it and sponged some Distress Faded Jeans. Used this piece to scan, then manipulate it and cut out a blackout piece from dark blue cardstock with my Cricut. Then cut out a blackout/shadow piece from red cardstock. Threaded my flower through the opening, and adhered the various layers together.

Folded my main red card. Cut a dark blue piece slightly smaller than my main card and adhered it to the front. Used my Cuttlebug and the Fleur de Lis embossing folder on white cardstock. Trimmed it down and adhered it to the dark blue layer. Then adhered the Poppy layers.

Rubber stamped the word onto white cardstock with Versafine Majestic Blue, clear embossed it and sponged some Faded Jeans around the edges. Die cut the small end pieces from the same Spellbinder's set. Adhered these together and onto the card.
