March 2/10  Letters to Friends  "Follow Your Dreams"

Created: February 19, 2010

"I Write you"
Size: 5"w x 7"h

As monotone as this is, I like the results. I used a Canson Color Line cardstock "Wheat & Nut" for all the layers and the last layer is Bazzill Monochrom "Maraschino" which is mounted to the main ivory card.

The first wheat layer is repeatedly rubber stamped with 3 different "Friend" stamps (Quietfire Design "friend" set; Inkadinkado "Flower Sentiments" set #99537; Heidi Grace Urban Acres Blvd." set) using the Versafine "Sepia" and clear embossing it.

The scalloped rectangular piece, the wheat is run through the Cuttlebug with the Script folder, high points brayered with Versafine Toffee and thermal embossed with Queen's Gold then layered onto the Nut cardstock.

I rubber stamped the butterfly MSE #TT235 "Garden Fairie" set with "Sepia" and clear embossed it, cut with a Spellbinder's rectangle and the edges colored with Pebbles Pearlescent chalks then layered onto the Nut.

The quote (Quietfire Design) was stamped with the Sepia, clear embossed and cut with the Spellbinder's Fancy Tags.

Note: if anyone has tried this, they'll realize the quote is larger than the tag area. I used a rubber mallet from my Sizzix Paddle Punch set on my rubber healing mat. Carefully hitting only the end area (cutting edge facing down). Doing both ends, then hand cutting the section in between. I use the edge of the die as a guide to hand cut the shadow from the Nut. Adhered it to the card with a couple red mini brads.
