June 1/10  "Circles"

"Circles - Every End"  card
Size: 5.5"w x 5.75"h

The theme this week is either Connections or Circles, and you can gather what I chose...

I had this image on my computer, I think from Dover Sampler, so I printed it out and traced it onto the front of my white cardstock card, then went over the lines with a thick Micron pen. Cut it down to a circle using my EK Success Orbis Circle Scissors, keeping a slightly flat edge at the bottom so the card would stand.

For the center circle, I put a piece of Sookwang tape onto white cardstock. Created a bunch of circles in my Sure Cuts a Lot program, then cut it out with my Cricut without cutting through the cardstock. Removed the release papers and sprinkled and mixed various Ritz Micro Fine Glitter (Bronze for the separating circles, Deep Gold/Copper, Turquoise/Copper, Celedon, then Warm Highlights).

Colored the floral elements with Prisma Colors, and the connecting circles with Tombows. Sponged Distress stamp pads Mustard Seed & Rusty Hinge around the edges, then used my Sizzix Swirls embossing Folder  and my mallet to dry emboss the edges.

Cut out a circle from white Shrink Plastic, sanded it down, rubber stamped the quote (Quietfire Design) with Versafine Black Onyx, punched a large hole, then placed in oven to shrink. Attached it to the card with a mini orange brad.
