Well I've had enough of Xmas/winter and thought I'd speed up the coming of spring by starting on my Valentine's day cards.

I started by cutting out a bunch of hearts with my Cricut and adhering them to a piece of cardstock which I then used as an embossing plate through my Cuttlebug on white cardstock.

I used a Spellbinders Shapeabilities Pendant "Spades" #S4-208 to cut the three red hearts from background paper done with an alcohol treatment.  I then used my Scor-it to create pronounced raised lines separating the hearts within squares and rectangles etc. I put two horizontal lines in the right hand side. I punched out the heart borders (EK Success), and thermal embossed them with a mix of Clear and Queen's Gold embossing powder and put them above and below the horizontal raised lines.

I then rubber stamped the quote (Quietfire Design)  with Versafine stamp pad "Satin Red" and clear embossed it. Also put some color on the horizontal raised lines. Added some 23.5kt gold leaf in the heart.
