I've seen this Microwave Floral Drying press a long time ago. Thought it was a little pricey at the time and just ignored it. Went to a friends house recently and she had and used one. Well I was impressed and the price now is right up my alley $30.00 Cdn for the smaller one which is big enough to do a bunch. So I went right out to Lee Valley Tools and picked one up. Have been having fun using it and it works like a charm. The flowers keep a beautiful color, don't dry out and become brittle (unless you cooked it too long - BIG GRIN), and because they still have a softness to them, are much easier to adhere to a project.

These are flowers from my garden - don't ask the names... I also picked up the Spellbinder's Labels Large (that's another friend who tempted me and glad she did), and used them for this card. Sponged them with Distress pads, misted and dried them. Stamped the quote (Quietfire Design) with Versafine black. Cut the under layer with my Cricut (the next one up in the set was just too big). Layered everything on an olive Bazzill Monochrome cardstock then onto a bright yellow card.

Die cut the Sizzix Decorative Leaves # Flowers #655367 from some decorated paper made with Distress pads and water. Layered it on my card and then added the flowers. As a final touch I added some yellow half pearls in the corners of my quote piece and larger ones at the upper corner of the card. Then I notched the card and tied a yellow ribbon.
