November 10, 2009 - "Remembrance - Thinking of You"

This week's Created By Hand challenge is Remembrance. Not much to say about this theme... Note, word stamp is from Quietfire Design.

I rubber stamped the poppy spray (gg designs plate #97) with Versamagic chalk stamp pad "Magic Red" onto white cardstock, then cut around the image. Used a Xig black marker to color the centers.

I die cut the card edge using the largest of the Nestabilities Labels#8 set, then ran it through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots folder.

Using smaller dies from the set, I punched out the white, which I also ran through my Cuttlebug, then touched the high points with a Fired Brick Distress stamp pad; and the red piece (Textura cardstock pad). 

I was frustrated, because I wanted a thinner border for the black, so I scanned one of the cut outs, and then cut the size I wanted with my Cricut. Layered all the cut outs, then placed the poppies on top. Rubber stamped the sentiment with Versafine Black Onyx.
