"Angelina Anais Nin"
5"w x 7"h I took my melt art mat and lay a bunch of fibres on it, covered it with another melt art mat and a piece of newsprint (my mats are a little grungy...) and ironed the fibres till fused, only a few minutes using a dry iron, on a little less than cotton setting. I punched out my butterfly and dragonfly with a Whale of a Punch punch. The leftovers are what I used for the border. I used a pink cardstock and cut out the front leaving a 1/2" border all around. I adhered a pink toned vellum on the front, edge to edge with Sookwang double sided tape. I then adhered my Angelina fibre to the front with the same tape along the border edges. I rubber stamped the quote on the inside of the card so it would show through the vellum. Then adhered my butterfly and dragonfly. I found when the card stood open, the area where the quote is visible is bare when open, so I positioned some Peel Off sticky shape flowers and sprinkled with some glitter and added a faux rhinestone in the centers. That bare space had interest now and didn't interfere with the quote. |

I love the look from the backside through the vellum, It's such a beautifully soft look. The quote and butterfly and dragonfly are from Quietfire Design. I stamped the insects with various colors of pigment ink and clear embossed them The quote was stamped with Versafine "Imperial Purple". The insects are stamped under the punched out images so they are a surprise when you open the card.
