"Happy Hanukka" card Well I finished all my Xmas cards so making another one was not high on my priority list. But then I thought, OK, most of my relatives are Jewish, but I give them non denomination cards, so I thought I'd give one of them a traditional card. I found an image of a Menorah on line and manipulated it in various programs and then cut it out on my Cricut on white cardstock. I did this 4 times, glue one to the other, both the positive images and the negative pieces. I was making myself an embossing template. I ran it through my Cuttlebug with Stonehenge cardstock. I preferred the impression I got with the negative design. I then cut one more template so I could use it to shadow my menorah with a sponging tool and Distress "Tea Dye". I then did a very small outline with a Quickie Glue pen and Bronze Ritz micro fine glitter. Wrote my words Happy Hanukka with the glue pen and the bronze glitter. Mounted this to a linear patterned bronze metallic paper (available from Quietfire Design). Tied a gauze ribbon (smoky blue / pinky bronze) arouned the layers, then mounted it to my main cream toned card. |
