May 12, 2009 - Stamps - Stencil Leaves HB - Gate Back Fold card

I used 2 pieces of an olive green cardstock, folded them in a gate back fold manner. The first fold was made ate the 2.5" width and the next fold at 3"w so it extended slight from the first flap and you can see the gold embossed green mulberry paper peeking out. On the inside I used the same dark green cardstock as the piece that has the quote on the front, to bridge the two flap pieces (see pic below). I rubber stamped the Quietfire Design  Quote "|Every Blade" using Staz-On Buttercream stamp pad on the dark green cardstock and used a scallop edged rotary cutter to trim the edges. Adhered it to the right hand flap.

The maple leaf is one of three leaves on a Lynell Harlow Dreamweaver brass stencil. For this one I used Pebbles Pearlescent chalks and the Translucent Dreamweaver paste. Trimmed with the scallop rotary cutter. All three had Sookwang tape put on the backs, then the negative portions cut out and mounted to the dark green cardstock. The words "Canada 54¢" done with a black Micron pen. added the veins with a black Identipen. The other two leaves had a layer of white embossing paste put down, let dry then colored with Pebbles Cream Chalk Precious Metals set.

Both of the quotes inside (Quietfire Design "What is a weed.." & "Every End..")  were stamped with Brilliance Moonlight White stamp pad on dark green cardstock, trimmed with the rotary cutter.

The portion of the card that I cut off is what I used for the insert inside. I cut off the flap sections from the main piece and adhered them separately. Punched out the square holes for my ribbon and did the borders with a Martha Stewart order punch.

Added the Peel Offs "Just for you" sentiment. It is one of my white calligraphic sentiments colored with Copic Ciao markers.

NOTE: These are some of my calligraphic word sentiment Peel Offs on the "Elizabeth Craft Design" labels. There are 12 styles available at the moment. They come in four different colors (gold, silver, black, and white); "Thank You", "It's a Boy, It's a Girl", "You're Invited" Congratulations" "Happy Birthday & "Love", "Friends", "Thinking of You", "Xmas Seasonal", "Xmas" & Happy Anniversary". There are a few more coming out some time in 2009 or early 2010.
