Peel-Offs #2 (June 2007)

This is the second batch of Peel Off ATC's I've done. The difference with these is, there's more to Peel Offs than just Outline Stickers. It now comes in Black outline, White Outline, Clear and a 2 sided adhesive sticker.  Oh the possibilities!!

I finally bought the We R Memories Hole Punch and Eyelet setter (used a 40% coupon). I've looked at it many times, and each time said it was too expensive ($39.99Cdn at Michael's) and way too big and clumsy looking. Well, little did I know. I tried it at a demo and the hole punch, punches through cardstock (and double mat board and book board) like butter. I couldn't believe it. Does 1/8" and 3/16" holes. Apparently it sets all kinds of eyelets. I've only tried setting a couple so far.

I sandwiched two pieces of mat board together using my ATG transfer tape and painted the edges with a Krylon Gold Leafing Pen. Used a direct to paper technique using Versamark dewdrops chalk stamp pads in lavender and purple tones. The 3 central flowers are Peel Offs Sticky Stickers. For the large one I sprinkled Sahara Pearls embossing powder (it's a nice creamy yellow color). For the medium one I brushed on some Luminarte Sunflower Yellow powder. For the smallest one I sprinkled some copper glitter. I then used various sizes of purple rhinestones for the center of each flower. The flower on the top point is a yellow brad. The other flowers are paper flowers which I either enhanced or added the small flower brad to the center. Added a brad leaf. Punched the holes with my We R Memories Punch. Glued it to my background ATC (thanks Wanda, I finally used one, perfect colors). Rubber stamped the word 'Smile" (portion of a stamp "Hoping this card" from Stubby Stampers) with a purple Brilliance Pearlescent Dewdrops pad and embossed it with Amethyst embossing powder. Mounted it all onto a bright yellow cardstock.

For this ATC I started with Peel Offs Keltic Oval sheet, black corners (comes in white too). Stuck them to a piece of 110 lb cardstock and used a direct to paper technique with the chalk stamp pads in yellows and peach tones. Keeping the stickers in place, I then used my Sakura Quickie glue pen and filled in the negative areas. When almost dry I lifted off the stickers and put them back on my sticker sheet for another use. Used my Zig 2 way jumbo glue pen to write my letter "B" and when almost dry used the same leaf as the corners. Wrote in my words "ig & old" (to finish of the words Big & Bold) with a Zig black pen. Mounted it onto bright orange cardstock.

Cut and glued 2 pieces of mat board together. Used Peel Offs black Corner Border Sheet and stuck it to the corner of my mat square. Used Color Box petal points stamp pad in a bright orange and embossed it with Pearl to get a nice soft orange tone. Removed the sticker (stuck it back onto my sheet for another use) and filled in the white areas with my Quickie Glue Pen. When almost dry, sprinkled on some glitter. Used the We R Memories hole punch and a "long" gold eyelet (from Quietfire Design) to attach it to my background (another of Wanda's background blanks). I didn't glue it to the card, so it can move. Wrote my quote with a Zig black pen. Mounted it onto bright orange cardstock.

Quote: Out of gardens grow fleeting flowers but lasting friendships. Beverly Rose Hopper

Used a Sticky Sticker and placed it onto my melt art mat, sprinkled it with 3 shades of blue embossing powder (light blue, dark blue and sparkle blue) and heat set it. Lay a piece of 1/2" Terrific Tape (Quietfire Design) onto a piece of 110 lb white cardstock. Stuck on my flower then pressed a piece of Gold Leaf onto the stripe. Some of the gold leaf attached itself to the points of the flower. Punched a hole in the center of the flower and added an orange flower brad. Drew in a large semi circle (the negative section of the letter "D") with a blue woodless colored pencil (Koh-I-Noor) and then lightly colored in the positive areas of the "D" highlighting the round shape. Rubber stamped the word "Dream" (a portion of the stamp "Dream with your eyes" from Quietfire Design) with Brilliance dewdrops Pearlescent Crimson and heat set. Mounted it onto bright orange cardstock. PeelOff_Dream PeelOff_DreamDetail

This is my favorite one so far.

I used Magenta's Peel offs clear/silver outline stickers (inside the outline is a clear membrane rather than empty space) and placed them upside down so I could put my red variegated leaf onto the sticky part of the sticker. Placed a piece of 1" Terrific Tape (Quietfire Design) onto a piece of 110 lb white cardstock. Stuck on my flowers, then sprinkled the tape with holeless beads in silver and transparent blue. Then sprinkled dark blue embossing powder into all the spaces missed by the beads. Very carefully I heat set the embossing powder. The clear sticker and holeless beads are not heat resistant. Using a piece of discarded 1" release paper, I stuck it to another piece of 1" tape to cut out my 2 semi circles (negative portions of the letter "B"). Butted it up to the stripe. Randomly sprinkled on 3 colors of glitter (dark blue, aqua blue & copper). It's a gorgeous combination. Used a bright orange woodless colored pencil to lightly color the positive areas and highlight the round shapes. Wrote in my words and emphasized the lines with a blue Zig pen. Mounted it onto dark blue cardstock.

Words: Beautiful to behold & in the eye of the beholder.

Used a single piece of mat board, covered it with a piece of 1" Terrific Tape then with a piece of Gold Leaf. The Asian symbol for "Imagination" is from Magenta's white Peel Offs "Chinese Curio's". I colored it with a Peel Offs alcohol based red marker prior putting onto my mat board. PS: The red marker acts very similar to Brilliance Pearlescents  "Rocket Red Gold", leaves a nice golden sheen to it. Wrote in my word "Imagination" with a Gold Excel Gel pen. Mounted it onto gold metallic cardstock.
