I recently took a class with Francie Bredeson from Edmonton, Alberta (May 2007) and she taught us the Kersals alphabet. I had tried my hand at creating my own alphabet from the little information there was on it, but after taking her class I saw where some of my errors lay. I also was doing some ATC's using these letters and the theme red. So I decided to expand and make a whole alphabet incorporating the "Red Letter Day" theme with the Kersals. I've split the alphabet into 3 pages for easier viewing.

First I printed out the "Red Letter Day" text onto white 110 lb cardstock on a laser printer. Cut my cards down to size, scored and folded them. Then drew my letters on each card with a black micron pen, painted them with some or all of these products, Twinkles H2o, watercolor pencils, gel pens, glitter and red foil. Mounted them onto either a cherry red cardstock or a more maroon toned cardstock. Added the words "It's a Red Letter Day" in various calligraphic styles using a micron pen. Punched out a circle in the same cardstock, folded it at about the 1/3 mark and glued it to the front and back of the ATC, to hold the page closed. Works like a match box cover
