June11 - Tissue Ovals

Quite a while ago I had made some background cardstock using dirty Kleenex tissue (dirtied with various watercolors and colored inks) and adhered it to cardstock with a glue stick. I then die cut out ovals, one next to each other for some project or other. I held this leftover piece in my hand and just couldn't throw it away. The colors of the tissue papers were just so vibrant. But there was nothing left, not even room to punch out a Sakura flower... But I kept it anyway. I pulled it out and layered it at an angle  on this black cardstock that I had die cut with Tim's Sizzix ATC die. It looked fabulous... I have now used up every drop of that leftover piece of cardstock.

By cutting off portions of the ovals, it created interesting shapes. I then put a light coating of gesso onto some book pages and die cut it with Tim's Elegant Flourish Sizzix die. Pieced them and or layered them onto the ATC. Then added my individualistic pieces, a Peel Off flower adhered to a piece of cardstock and colored with Tombows, then cut out and a hlaf pearl center; A punched out Dragonfly from some other Tissue paper cardstock, embossed with Kaleidocolor embossing powder and jewels added to the body; A bunch of Sakura flowers from again another piece of tissue cardstock and rhinestone centers; and lastly a punched out butterfly, double layered and clear embossed plus a Spellbinders Doodle part. As a final touch added some lettering with a Script nib and Ecoline Gold ink.
